Residential Support Specialists

Residential Support Specialists work in Northpointe’s home settings to meet the needs of those with a developmental/intellectual disability and/or mental illness. These caregivers work with the residents to achieve the greatest level of independence, enjoy life to it’s fullest, and ensure they are integrated into the community.  Our homes strive for high quality and safe care in a clean, comfortable home-like atmosphere.

Residential Assistant Manager

The Residential Assistant Manager acts as an assistant to the Manager to provide a safe and comfortable home environment for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or serious emotional disorder by ensuring compliance with all mandated and regulatory standards.

Location: Stephenson & Iron River, MI                             

Hours: Full-Time                          Wages: 8 Step Scale $17.95 – $23.08

Community Support Specialists

The Community Support Specialist provides support to individuals to maintain living in an independent setting. The goal of this position is coach, prompt, and train individuals to learn skills necessary to maintain or achieve independence, create an opportunity to achieve goals, and to foster community inclusion.

Location(s):    Menominee, Kingsford, & Iron River               Hours:  Full-Time & Part-Time                              Wage 8 Step Scale – $14.76  – $18.78

Care Managers

Looking for a variety of professionals who qualify to work as a Behavioral Health Care Manager!

    • Bachelor Degree in Social Work
    • Bachelor Degree in Human Services Field
    • Registered Nurse

In the role as a Care Manager, licensed professionals have the privilege of working with individuals to reach their hopes, dreams, and desires through person-centered planning. The Care Manager is responsible for linking and coordinating individuals to services and supports within Northpointe and within the community. The goal is to assist individuals to develop natural support systems, obtain medically necessary services, and gain/maintain skills to achieve independence. Our Care Managers have the  opportunity  to  impact  lives  in  a significant  way.  Opportunities exist to work in this role in a variety of programs with different populations of people including children, families, and adults.

  • Menominee- Wraparound & School-based

Behavioral Health Therapists

Looking for a variety of professionals who qualify to work as a Behavioral Health Therapist!

        • Master’s Degree in Social Work
        • Limited Licensed/Licensed Professional Counselor
        • Limited Licensed/Licensed Psychologist
        • Limited Licensed/Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor

In the role as a Behavioral Health Therapist, licensed professionals have the privilege of working with individuals to reach their hopes, dreams, and desires through person-centered planning. The Behavioral Health Therapist conducts intake assessments, provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy. He/she may assist in linking and coordinating individuals to other services and supports within Northpointe and within the community.  Opportunities exist to work in this role in a variety of programs with different populations of people including children, families, and adults.

Peer Support Specialist    

 The peer support specialist has been trained to help his/her peers to identify, achieve specific life goals; the peer specialist promotes self-determination, personal responsibility and empowerment inherent in self-directed recovery, and assists people with mental illness in regaining control over their own lives and over their own recovery process.  Because of their life experience, they provide expertise that professional disciplines cannot replicate. The peer specialist cultivates the ability of those they assist to make informed, independent choices and set goals, and to gain information and support from the community to achieve those goals. Specific job responsibilities may vary depending on the experience of the individual peer specialist.

Peer Mentor

The Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) Peer Mentor works with service recipients to achieve their goals which are identified through the person-centered planning process. A Peer Mentor has a living experience with I/DD and behavioral health services which is crucial for building relationships with service recipients. Openings in various programs including outpatient and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Reimbursement (Billing) Specialist

The Reimbursement (billing) Specialist is responsible for claim submission for behavioral health services provided under Medicaid and private insurance..

Location: Kingsford

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 Hours/Week

 

Director of Community Inclusion

The Director of Community Inclusion plans, develops, implements and coordinates a comprehensive service delivery system and ensures community inclusion for persons served. Oversees skill building programs, vocational programming services, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Club House.

Location: Tri-County (Dickinson, Iron, & Menominee)                                 Hours: 37.5/week (exempt)

Behavior Technician (BT)

Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to provide Applied Behavior  Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with Autism or with other behavioral conditions. The goal of ABA is to increase developmentally-appropriate skills to facilitate an individual’s independence.
