Residential Support Specialists

Residential Support Specialists work in Northpointe’s home settings to meet the needs of those with a developmental/intellectual disability and/or mental illness. These caregivers work with the residents to achieve the greatest level of independence, enjoy life to it’s fullest, and ensure they are integrated into the community.  Our homes strive for high quality and safe care in a clean, comfortable home-like atmosphere.

Community Support Specialists

The Community Support Specialist provides support to individuals to maintain living in an independent setting. The goal of this position is coach, prompt, and train individuals to learn skills necessary to maintain or achieve independence, create an opportunity to achieve goals, and to foster community inclusion.

Location(s):    Menominee, Kingsford, & Iron River               Hours:  Full-Time & Part-Time                              Wage 8 Step Scale – $14.76  – $18.78

 

Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse to work with in our residential settings to link, coordinate, and integrate services to meet the resident’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. This position works closely with the home manager and dedicated staff to ensure resident’s achieve maximum independence, maintain health, and hopes and dreams are met. The nurse working in this atmosphere has an unique opportunity to improve health outcomes by coordinating with other professionals, family members, and the residents. The nurse will be instrumental in program development regarding diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other co-morbidities affecting the aging population.

Assertive Community Treatment Registered Nurse

Looking for a Registered Nurse to work with the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. ACT is a community-based approach to comprehensive assertive team treatment and support for adults with serious mental illness. The team shares responsibility for the individuals served and uses proactive engagement and provides continuous, rapid, flexible and mobile team based care, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. The ACT team is the fixed point of responsibility for the development of the individual’s person-centered plan and for supporting the individual in all aspects of community living, including the most independent setting possible.

Behavioral Health Super Heroes ~ Care Managers

In the role as a Care Manager, licensed professionals have the privilege of working with individuals to reach their hopes, dreams, and desires through person-centered planning. The Care Manager is responsible for linking and coordinating individuals to services and supports within Northpointe and within the community. The goal is to assist individuals to develop natural support systems, obtain medically necessary services, and gain/maintain skills to achieve independence. Our Care Managers have the  opportunity  to  impact  lives  in  a significant  way.  Opportunities exist to work in this role in a variety of programs with different populations of people including children, families, and adults.

Peer Mentor

The Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) Peer Mentor works with service recipients to achieve their goals which are identified through the person-centered planning process. A Peer Mentor has a living experience with I/DD and behavioral health services which is crucial for building relationships with service recipients.

 

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant provides high-level support for the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer to help the agency run efficiently. The position requires clerical skills, communication, time management, multi-tasking, and organizational efficiencies. The Executive Assistant also serves as the Northpointe Board of Director’s secretary.

Residential Assistant Manager

The Residential Assistant Manager acts as an assistant to the Manager to provide a safe and comfortable home environment for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or serious emotional disorder by ensuring compliance with all mandated and regulatory standards.

Location: Stephenson, MI                           Hours: Full-Time, Afternoons           Wages: 8 Step Scale $17.95 – $23.08

 

Behavior Technician (BT)

Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to provide Applied Behavior  Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with Autism or with other behavioral conditions. The goal of ABA is to increase developmentally-appropriate skills to facilitate an individual’s independence.

Data Control Specialist

The Data Control Specialist assists in maintaining data integrity related to billing and is responsible for entering contract provider claims, system scrubbing for data issues, and for monitoring client spend down amounts.
