What is a Parent Support Partner?

A Parent Support Partner has lived experience being a parent or primary caregiver to a child with emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.  They receive training and certification to work with supporting other parents of children with similar concerns.

 

What does the Parent Support Partner do?

Parent Support Partners can help other parents navigate the community mental health system and community at large.  They provide support, education, and parenting strategies in home, community, and office locations.
